"HOPE"
We are not free, we are locked away
Living in fear from day to day
though we may deserve this
for the wrong that we've done
We still are people
And need help from someone,
we need hope;

We are a legion, for many we are
As many as footprints under the stars
There is no light in us, the light has gone out
Our world is all darkness, despair, and doubt
We need hope:

Most of you have never been
In the place where we're locked in
In the morning light you can see the sun
And see it set when the day is done,
We need hope;

Some of us have never known
About god and the love he's shown
For how can we know unless we have heard
And how can we hear without the great word,
We need hope;

How beautiful are the feet that come
To tell us of this holy one
Who loves us so much we're told
He gave his life to save our soul,
This is hope;

Those of us who hear this news
And put it in our lives to use
Will be ever grateful throughout the years
For you gave us the hope and took away our fears.
